Image Linguistics @ The Tales of FaceAdds
2024 F64 gallery, Podgorica
Fragments from The Tales of Faceadds (MerzHavn) incorporate selected works from the Image Linguistics series, in which familiar sayings are altered solely through linguistic translation. Within the exhibition, these proverbs function as subtle commentaries, responding to the questions raised by the surrounding works.
The exhibition examines the transformation of value systems within contemporary urban environments. Reflections traverse interior spaces, blending seamlessly with the exterior and absorbing everything they encounter along the way. This process evokes the surrealist shop window viewed through the architectural lines of modern urbanism, where solace is found in the gleam of water or a forgotten potted plant masquerading as a still life.
It becomes a two-way mirror—reflecting both what we see and what we desire.
